In this film, Alma, on the brink of adulthood, leaves her home inthe Netherlands and travels to Bosnia to meet her father, whom she has neverknown. But things do not go as planned. Ena Sendijarevic, a Bosnian-Dutchdirector and writer, has been honored with the Special Jury Prize at theRotterdam Film Festival and the Heart of Sarajevo award for Best Film at theSarajevo Film Festival. After the screening, you'll have the chance to discussand ask questions to the director in an interactive Q&A session.

Political Cartoons Workshop

This event will be led by Tjeerd Royaards, a renowned andinternationally respected Dutch cartoonist, whose work has been published inprestigious media such as The Washington Post, The New York Times, BBC, CNN,The Guardian, Le Monde, France 24, and Politico Europe. Tjeerd Royaards willshare his expertise in drawing and writing cartoons, offering a greatopportunity to learn the techniques and strategies used in this art form. Thisworkshop is open to all those interested in developing their artistic skillsand benefiting from the experience of a renowned international artist.

During this publicconversation, Riet will share her experiences and perspectives on art andsustainability in this field. The closing event of Dutch Cultural Week will feature a specialperformance by the Dutch jazz group Roaring Cats at The Cloud, Tirana. Thisconcert is part of the third edition of the Gjon Mili Jazz & BluesFestival, which highlights the legacy of Gjon Mili and Albanian jazz culture.Gjon Mili (1904-1984) was an Albanian artist known for his significantcontributions to Jazz and Blues music through photography and film. Theperformance by Roaring Cats will bring a special collaboration between Dutchand Albanian Jazz cultures, offering the Albanian audience a great opportunityto explore Dutch musical heritage and feel the energy of international Jazz ina unique setting.
