Homo Ex Machina – Contemporary Art Exhibition

The Museum of Contemporary Art of Montenegro presents the exhibition "Homo Ex Machina." This exhibition will showcase the works of seven artists, featuring 12 pieces: Maja Šofranac, Ana Aleksić, Nikola Radonjić, Nikola Marković, Siniša Radulović, Adin Rastoder, and Igor Husag. These artists have made a name for themselves in the Montenegrin art scene for their innovative and experimental approaches and the realization of their works. The theme of the exhibition is inspired by technological advancements, particularly in the fields of robotics and astronomy. It is a multimedia exhibition, including digital prints, sculptures, installations, and other objects.

Screening of the Film "Sirin"

This film, a joint Albanian-Montenegrin production, tells the story of Sanela, a Montenegrin of Muslim origin, who fled former Yugoslavia in the 1990s following the kidnapping and murder of her father, along with other Muslims. After twenty years in exile, she returns to the Balkans. Following the screening, there will be a Q&A session with director Senad Sahmanovic and his Albanian co-producer, Dritan Huqi, along with representatives from the National Center of Cinematography of Albania and the Film Center of Montenegro.

Screening of the Film "The Stork"

The film tells the story of a quiet Montenegrin village where most of the residents have emigrated to the United States. This place becomes the backdrop for a bittersweet tale about three women fighting for autonomy. Suta resists pressure to marry the autistic twin of her late husband, while Vezire and Drane confront the need to coexist in light of their shared husband's plans to leave. Meanwhile, Fize tries to find a bride for her son. The film is a co-production among Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, and North Macedonia.

Exhibition: "The Five Centuries of Boka Kotorska in European Cartography"
Sotir Kolea Center - Tirana
The exhibition explores cartographic views of Boka Kotorska and its surrounding areas from the late 15th century to the early 20th century. The cartographic material from the Maritime Museum in Kotor combines digitized materials from national archives and libraries across Europe and the United States. During the exhibition, 185 geographical, maritime, topographical, military, historical, political, ethnographic, hydrographic, postal, and other thematic maps illustrating the Bay of Kotor will be presented.
